different analysis of fraternity tiers
by: Hey
Different way to look at fraternities because everyone's obsessed with the tiniest changes that individual people make to rankings:
(In no order, and read the descriptions)
The top: Machi, ATO, Phi Delt, Pike
-Top frats, other frats constantly reach out to try to have paired events, but they know they're on top. Most attractive guys, paired with the top sororities for historical reasons and due to current popularity among girls.
Falling upper: SAE, Beta, KA
-Strictly living off of reputation at this point, with hazing scandals (Beta) and an overall growing lack of interest from most girls (SAE/KA), they're falling, but will never truly fall from the top unless kicked off campus.
Try-hards : Theta Chi, Pilam
-Actually the worst. Theta Chi is notorious for tier-climbing, and ultimately watched it blow up in its face. Pilam did a great job of using the ZBT status to improve its own cred, but the chants at midtown are lame after a while, and the joint Pike bar tab was a blatant attempt to social climb. Just a bad look.
Middlemen: Pikapp, Delt, AEPi, TEP, Kappa Sig
-These guys aren't the top, they know it and don't try to be someone they're not. Most involved on campus, and are great at what they do outside of social life while still staying respectable with their social statuses. Each has its own studs, and each has it's share of not-so studly guys, but this is probably the last cool tier that you'll find the most genuine guys in.
