by: hopingI rushed in the fall but things didn't go to plan. Any advice for rerushing in the fall? I particularly like AOPi, Pi Phi, Theta, and DZ.

I don't trust the "you'll find your fit" bs it just makes girls feel better when they are cut. If you're cut it doesn't mean there's something wrong with you, it just means sororities can only take in a set amount of girls. They will probably pick people they know or like more over you if you don't know anyone. All you can do is hope they cut someone else before they cut you. You can increase your chances of getting a bid if you keep open minded when things don't go your way. Keep your grades up, do something unique and different. Be memorable. Look your best so you make a good first impression. Try to meet girls in the sororities you want before rushing to see if you'll get along. (The time you get at rush isn't enough to meet people.)

It's not a single chapter, it's four. Recruitment IS supposed to be "mutual selection" so I don't see the harm in her having ideas. I think it's great she's doing research and learning about the sororities beforehand. I do think she should give the "bottom" sororities a chance if things don't work out.
