I saw this on another thread and I'm curious about it too. I keep seeing how aopi and phi mu and others are "improving"
What exactly has made them better? Or is this self ranking by aopi and phi mu? I feel like this could go either way TBH

In my opinion I think it's a mix of both. Like their PC was better than usual but they're also playing it up on here. Everyone self ranks so these sororities are def included in that

Self ranking for sure...... just looked at phi mus insta and was not overly impressed.... aopi seems to be the same as always too? Maybe a little improvement but not drastically different from any other year

I just looked at their insta because of this comment and I disagree. It's pretty good for a bottom tier. Their tumblr sucks tho

Improvement is based on a lot of factors. Objective factors are pretty indisputable and are not self ranking...more awards, better GPA, etc. Subjective factors such as looks, people can judge for themselves. I think certain chapters (maybe 3) are moving in the right direction with their PCs and a variety of factors to the point where they would be considered improving. I think about 2 declined slightly (which also contributes to a rise for the other 3), and the rest pretty much have stayed the same.

i've only seen one post that said anything about phi mu and aopi claiming to be rising. and those chapters were used in an example.

however there are things that make a chapter improve. looks, obviously, but visibility in the greek system, gpa, involvement, initiatives, etc, always help.

other than that the only thing i can see from this site (recently) that indicates these chapters rising are when people make the rankings and put aopi near the top and phi mu top of bottom. don't see much self ranking from these chapters when there are OBVIOUS other self rankers.

Arent ranks just based on which sororities are most desired at recruitment? If anything, "improvement" is just whatever pnms and others in the Greek community PERCEIVE as improving. Like, taking in a really hot PC or having good social rotations etc can boost the popularity, right? I don't think AOPi is improving, it's just other houses like Tridelt are becoming less popular, and so AOPi rises by default. Same with Phi Mu. SK, GPhi, Aephi are either too new or less popular, so phi mu rises by default. Also, Phi mu isn't top of bottom. AXO and KKG are top of bottom.

TBH I think they're self ranking like aopi and OP is calling them out for it. I know sk has a habit of throwing other sororities under the bus but idk about it this time
