gpa cut offs when rushing

looking to rush as a soph but gpa is kinda low after my first semester... whats the typical sorority gpa cutoff?

Almost all sororities currently average a GPA of 3.44 and up, with ZTA bringing up the rear with a 3.44. SK and GPHI are next on the list with GPA averages in the 3.2 range. If you have anything under a 3.0, hopefully you can make-up for your GPA in other areas, such as involvement/personality and/or looks.

Why are SK and GPHI's in the 3.2s while everyone else's are 3.4 and up? Interested in rush, but wondering about the academic side of things.

Personally know many science and engineering majors in both of those sororities so that could have something to do with it

There are those majors in other chapters too. In fact look at AEPHI, who is very top in grades. TBH, these chapters are known not to be as selective and have had to take grade risks to try and get their numbers up. This may be attacked, but this is likely the real reason.
