how did kd change tiers?

When my mom was at UF in the 80s, she said that KD was definitely middle tier. She is surprised to learn that they are top tier.
Apparently, all her sisters are impressed, too, that KD has risen from the top, and have nothing but positive things to say.
But, I want to know - how did KD do it? How did they go from bottom/middle to top tier?

yes, its true that KD has claimed to become top tiered. However, in the 80s they were NOT mid tier, they were bottom. They did an addition to their house which attracted girls along the way. I was an ADPI in the 80s. We did not really sit around ranking the houses but the most popular and known to have the most beautiful girls were: ADPI, DDD, ZTA and DG. AOPI was very middle ranked.

I was a ddd in the 80's. adpi, dg and ddd were the top houses in that order. zta, kd and xo were middle tier, axo and sk and bottom tier houses. Sometimes people drop way down, or just a little like ddd and dg. Please do not tell me to get off this site my daughter is a DDD now at UF.

I have to agree. I think DDD is dropped a lot, from what I heard they used to be decent. A beautiful house will not increase their rank. Granny is right, ddd is middle tier now.

If there was another house there then, I don't remember it
The top 3 would take the top 150 girls with some choosing to go XO or ZTA but those were great houses too. The bottom houses were really small((20 members?). Many girls dropped if they got cut from the top 6. ADPI and DG usually had the biggest cuts. Legacies didn't mean much unless you were an in house sister.

ZTA was not at the level of the top 3 (adpi/ddd/DG) in the early 80s. Top frats were:
ATO/SAE/Pike
Sigma Chi
Delt/ KA

We were NOT a top tier house. Please top saying that we were. We wished were but were had to compete with adpi and dg. Those were the top houses then tri delts. zta was okay, but not a top tier house. It really does not matter who is top, I had a great experience at zta back then, and would do it all over again.
