no spring rush for sororities this year

this is not true. i heard that DDD, KD, KKG Gamma Phi and SK are rushing in the spring.

KKG and KD rarely do spring rush and it's way too early to know for sure who is doing it or not unless you asked the recruitment chairs for each chapter themselves

Kappa has some of the most prestigious alumnae, of all sororities...except DDD.
So, yeah. Plenty of women want to be Kappas!

they proabably want alpha phi to be able to start off on a good foot without having to lose out on pnms since they can't do spring rush, and alpha phi is one of the best sororities in the nation

Alpha Phi colonizing has nothing to do with Spring rush, they aren't coming to campus until Fall 2017 so they'll have to compete with the other sororities anyways. Plus a lot less girls rush and get a bid in the Spring so they're not really loosing out on many PNMs...

no way. several DDD have told me they are in fact doing spring rush for financial reasons. in addition, seniors will graduate and spots will open up. spring rush is already pretty low-key and we won't know who has spots due to girls dropping until after every sorority has had initiation.

From what I've heard, girls going through in spring do not know officially which orgs are participating until they go to the meeting the day of the event. However, you can look at groups that often participate for an indication of some that may do it and could always ask active sisters if they are/can say if they are participating if you want a head start

Yes I emailed her asking for more information about Spring rush and she replied saying they aren't having Spring rush this year. I have no way of proving it to you over this website but if you want to confirm you could email her too and ask just to make sure. But yeah it's very disappointing. I hope she either meant that as of now, they aren't planning to have it because no sororities need new members or maybe this year the Panhellenic council just isn't overseeing the recruitment process
