guy rush

Since all the events (except for Friday) don't require an invitation, how do you determine a chapter's interest in you? Do they start reaching out by phone to schedule interviews/ make sure you are coming, or, conversely, will they start giving more kids the cold shoulder and even asking some to leave?

its all different. if you are getting a vibe that you are being shuffled around without anyone asking (sincerely) "are you coming back" "will we see you at lunch/dinner" "did you meet so and so?" then you might not be on their interest list. If you have been there consistently and you don't feel like you are getting attention you might want to try another house but don't wait. time is clicking. get to new house if the ones you are going to are not interested.

Its a tough thing to figure out if a chapter likes you with informal recruitment. If you find yourself at a house eating food at a table and wandering around with no one coming up to you for 15 min or so, its time to check out another house. Some places will personally message you to come to a meal or to see if your coming by at night. Some houses will ask you to leave if you've met enough guys and aren't getting a bid. Thats actually a good thing because some houses won't and you can spend all week there. and if you've been that guy whose only been to upper tier houses and havent gotten any interest, check out some middle or even lower tier houses. those guys offer the same greek experience and you might really like guys in some of those houses. but if you try and be someone your not and don't be smart with rush, you could very easily end up with nothing but a well maybe next semester man.
