how cob

by: pnm

I know girls who just yesterday got a bid to a certain house (no names mentioned). How did they do this? Were they on some list like waitlisted or something? The house told them someone dropped and those girls were offered there spots.

If a house drops below chapter total they can COB. They usually get a list of girls who released themselves from recruitment or were released and then contact them that way. If you're interested talk to your friends in chapters and see whats going on.

COB is also a way that a sorority can offer a bid to a friend they know who did not do rush.

Mine is currently in COB, even though we made quota. Some will anticipate girls dropping (for many reasons unrelated to the sorority) and will try to fill spots as soon as they open. Your best bet is to ask a friend who is in the house about COB and see if they can put you on the list.

Which chapters do you know of that are doing COB? Also are they looking at a list of girls who dropped or just friends of people in the sorority?
