pi phi?
by: pnmSomeone enlighten me as to what is so great about pi phi. I just went through rush, and was hesitant to drop them before prefs since they are considered a top middle house. Other "middle" houses were so much more put together, in every way. Just wondering why they've earned their rank apart from their party reputation? Don't know anyone in the house, and can't find any other description on greek rank.

I think they aren't spoken of much on Greek Rank because houses actually like them. For some reason in the past couple of days, someone has been writing negative posts about piphi. It seems strange, almost like a Chi O or Deeph wants to boost her own chapter by putting down the one chapter that doesn't come on this website to really defend itself.

To even think that a sorority's tier can be boosted or dropped by posting on GR?!
Are you kidding me?
Recruit stellar girls, be active on campus, crush all the competitions (from intramurals to fraternity competitions to Miss UF).
THAT'S how you change tiers, in the long run.

DZ is not an upper middle house. Theta and Pi Phi yes. But DZ is middle middle with chi o and deeph

I preffed at xo and pi phi. I did not end up at either house, but I will say, the most genuine conversation I had was with the ladies of pi phi. They are a solid middle/upper middle tier house with out a doubt, right in their with XO.
I think they are the two nicest houses in the middle tier. Do not dismiss Pi Phi at all.

I agree with you 100%. I hate it when houses come on here and over rank themselves to the point they even know it's not true. Like walk around campus and you clearly start to see why houses are better than others. Theta, Piphi and DZ recruit a lot more quality girls than Chi O and Deeph and for some reason someone keeps trying to bolster their house by ranking them over these houses. Theta, Piphi and DZ have un-doubtly been considered upper middle houses for the past few years. This hasn't changed because I have friends in all houses and have seen a vast majority of their PC16's and they are all very attractive, good looking girls. I think they all had strong recruitments so anyone saying otherwise is clearly in a house trying to self rank above these houses.
