Juniors who rushed this year? is there hope? I was not able to rush this year as a sophomore because of some medical issues and was wondering how bad is it to rush as a junior?

Four juniors in my classes rushed (including me). I got dropped and I think another girl did too but one girl got a bid from chi o and another girl got a bid from alpha chi. So it depends sorry I know that's not helpful.

Round 1 my favorites were pi phi by a mile, and then after that I liked chi o, a chi o, SK, and delta gamma. Not that crazy about tri delt or deeph or aopi.

Round 2 I liked AEPhi the best, but I also really enjoyed chi o and achio. I went from 17 to 6 houses round two. After that I got dropped everywhere.

I rushed as a junior and didn't get dropped from a single house - carry yourself well, have confidence and you'll be fine :)

Your experience is not the norm, so while this advice is nice, it is not going to be the case for most juniors (even if they carry themselves well and have confidence). Glad it worked out for you, and it definitely can work out for some juniors...But I feel like your advice places it all on the junior if they don't do well...the reality is that there IS a bit more of a hurdle being upperclassmen and also there is some luck involved, and other factors too.

Being confident, etc helps, but doesn't guarantee success.

I rushed as a sophomore and even though I believed I carried myself well and had confidence I got dropped by a bunch of houses, more so than any of the freshman did. Also, my other friends who rushed got dropped more than the freshman as well. Rush is weird but I guess it works out in the end.

It's not bad. You'll get a lot of awkward questions as to why you're rushing from freshman but just ignore them. Of course sisters will ask you why you decided to rush as a junior as well so just be honest and to the point and then talk about something else. I rushed as a junior this year and preffed at DDD, DG, and ADPi and got my first choice and there are like 7 other juniors in my pledge class that I've met so far so definitely don't be discouraged.
