Did anyone else get special rushed by a house and then get dropped the next round? This whole process makes no sense to me...

The girl who rushed me round two said the girl who rushed me round one said great things about me and that she was excited to meet me. They also paired me with someone with similar interests.

It was ZTA wasn't it? I heard a lot of girls (myself included) talk about how they heard "so much about you" as they walked in the house with their new girl lol that's just their method to try and get as many PNM's as possible to pref them...sad

Yeah, it was. I can't blame them though, it worked pretty well. I also appreciate them for putting in effort because some of the other top tiers gave me the impression that they thought their name would do all the work for them.

They weren't mean... They were having an effective rush. I wasn't upset, I knew I wasn't going to be a zeta, I wouldn't have fit in. If anything, I was more upset about the houses that I felt comfortable opening up to that still cut me anyway.

It's not really an "effective rush" they were making everyone feel special for their own benefit (so more could pref them). It's very mean girls of them if you ask me. I went with my gut and dropped them and I see now that was the right move.

this is not "special rush" this is literally every chapter's approach to recruitment.

What do you mean by leading girls on? Unless they gave girls a verbal bid then they aren't leading girls on. It's called being nice and kind to every single girl that walks in that house and making every single girl feel like the special Panhellenic woman she is, even if she fits in better at a different house. Having someone like you because you had a great conversation but they would thrive elsewhere isn't being mean, it's what rush is all about.

Zeta does this, but it's not leading them on. They actually do meet and say good things and what they remember about the girls they rush to the girl who is rushing her next. They don't just make it up
