i dropped rush

by:

I dropped rush because I felt very unhappy with the houses I had left for round two and I tried to be open and I attended the parties in round two but did not feel comfortable AT ALL. So I was just wondering if being a GDI is like really awful compared to someone whose in a sorority? Like can I still be included in things or will it suck

My advice would have been to stick with the process. Many girls grow to love houses in later rounds. Most people here are GDIs but you may regret dropping out after you see how much fun the Greeks are having the fall and after.

I would advise you to get involved with other things at UF and rush again

Of course you can still be included! There are like 60,000 students here!

Get involved in your dorm activities, or go out for cicerones... There are so many activities.

I feel sorry for this PNM. She obviously bought into the tier system and probably only had so called middle and lower tier houses left on her party schedule. After meeting 2-4 actives from a chapter with over 200 members, she couldn't see the opportunities that she still had. Let's just say she had 5 houses left, what she is REALLY saying is she thought she was better than 1,000 women that call those chapters home. I suspect she will end up regretting this decision.

She will definitely regret it when she sees how much fun all the houses have in the fall with parties, game days and date functions.

Listen if u weren't happy then u did the right thing. Only 1/2 the women rush at UF. You could have been involved with a fantastic sorority that helps those in need, etc. A couple of top tiers spend most of their time checking themselves out in mirrors.

Far less than half rush. Maybe 1/4 and even thats pushing it. Also the way to get rid of the tier system isn't by bashing a third of the sororities at UF. You just called 1,500 pan women vain. Biggest generalization I've ever heard. Try doing something better with your time than bringing down over a thousand women by maybe helping those in need, etc and stop being so obsessed with what other people are doing.
