final tips

This was posted this summer, thought it was good: "On Greekrank, a sorority is frequently ranked highly based primarily on how HOT they are to fraternity men. There truly are many more important things to consider when YOU are the one who must live with your hot sisters day and night. What the guys think doesn’t matter much within a sisterhood.
With total hotness sometimes comes some meanness [not always, but sometimes...meanness can also be found regardless of looks]. Not everyone can handle the intense competitive atmosphere inside the most gorgeous chapter on campus. If you don't feel comfortable in that type of setting, then be happy finding friendly ‘mortal’ sisters who you can be totally comfortable around.
Self evaluation is key. Know yourself, consider where you realistically fit in and think about where you will be most happy for four long years. There’s sometimes a price to pay for pledging the “dream” chapter, if it is not a good fit for you. It’s better to make a match where you are loved for your authentic self and respected for being a genuine person."

Go where you think (down the road after rush is over) you'd feel comfortable freely admitting something embarrassing about yourself...that you are having your period, that you are a Belieber, that you still like reading Seventeen, whatever...it is a good test for where you might be a good fit. And it is a sign of good times and lifelong friendship in your future.
Do not go where you feel like you have to pretend to be someone that you are not. You will likely end up being an outsider, and will feel and come across like an imposter. Look around each chapter and ask yourself do these girls seem like the type of girls that I typically like and am friends with? If you are typically friends with facey types, then certain sororitys might be a great fit. If you are typically friends with girl next door types, then other sororitys are definitely on the table. Good luck finding your people!
