dancing advice?

by: i suck

This will sound a little silly, but I am a terrible dancer and freak out dancing in front of people. Most girls know how to dance casually, but I am nervous about it. During rush week, are there any social occasions when dancing would come into play? I am worried that would hurt my chances if I can not showcase myself as a girl who likes to have fun, although I am on any other occasion. Also, for future reference at parties and clubs and meeting people there, any tips on how to let loose or be able to dance casually? Please no mean comments! Thanks:)

Take lessons. Often a great local teacher can be suggested by your coach.

There are no dancing related things during rush so you're fine there. And in general honestly having a couple of drinks helps lol. But the reason it helps is because it reduces social anxieties/makes you more easy going because you lose your care. (Don't let alcohol become a way to self medicate though. You have to be careful) So really just try not to care what other people think because they probably aren't even watching that closely.
