my daughter is rushing

My daughter is rushing at UF. I was in a UF sorority that you all call Top Tier.
I will be sooo upset if my sorority drops my daughter.
So, before you drop that legacy, think about it!

Yes this , I can’t believe they would not honor legacy policy for your mine etc daughter omg just horrific. Now my daughter is rushing at a univ that does not have my sisterhood but omg Such a slap in the face and a broken promise by sisterhood. I’m not changing my mind on that opinion

Ive been looking for legacy advice at UF and I just read through this entire thread. Good Lord!
Anyway, I was told to bring my daughter by the house to meet the sisters. We’ve been visiting the house with her every homecoming since she was in 8th grade. She’s a senior now this year… and this is when it will count!

Gotta let your kid live their own life. It's their college experience not Mom or Dad's.
I totally get the legacy thing but it'll happen if it's meant to be. Do what you can behind the scenes will the Chapter Advisor and other respected alumni but you're setting yourself up for disappoint and possibly making your kid feel like they're a loser if they don't get a bid.
Honestly, if it was that important I'd get my check book out and make a donation. This is America and money talks. If you can't use your money to get little Blaise into your sorority, then what's the point in having money?

I just found this thread through a Google search. If any of this is true, it’s heartbreaking. Both, for mothers and for our daughters.
