rush tips please!!

Of course. Things have changed a lot in the past few years as recruitment has gotten more competitive. Coaches help girls with what to wear and when (like a style book meant to tell a story about the PNM), arrange the best recommendation letters, polish their social media presence, and help them with confidence by teaching them what to expect.

Whoever is bringing up the rush coach thing is just trying to scare already nervous pnms. Yes, they do exist, but most people do not have one and will be fine. Honestly the thing that will trip you up much more than not having a rush coach is the freaking out about every small thing.

I'm in a top house and did not get dropped at all during recruitment. I didn't need a rush coach and I don't think ANYONE does. Nobody I know got one, it's just not a thing at UF. You will do fine without one trust me

Not most girls but a lot of PNMs have coaches but don't talk about them because it's rush is sooo competitive. Some coaches have connections to certain houses and those recruitment chairs know who they are and this can become important for snap bids in particular. There's some guilt involved for girls who use coaches but feel they can't talk about them, because they feel like imposters.

It's not pathetic to want tips when you're nervous. Should you be looking for how to act and what exactly to say? No, because that wouldn't be you. But there is nothing wrong with wanting advice. For example, a top I would give is to really pick your outfits carefully. Look classy, not too much skin, well-fitting clothes, and something you feel confident in. When you feel confident in your appearance, it's easier to relax and be yourself.

The be yourself advice IS the best advice. If you truly have no idea on how to be yourself and make polite conversation, any additional advice on here is not really going to help you at this point.
