Wondering the same!

I looked at the ufpichi account on Instagram and they would take group photos with all the girls and I saw a lot of black dresses and white dresses. I think it's okay! Plus they have those on the UF pan pinterest boards ("those" being black dresses and white dresses) for various rounds. I think you're good to wear those colors if you have something you like!

I'm a senior active... I promise the color of your dress doesn't matter at all in that regard haha. My chapter wears black dresses during prefs and a ton of PNMs come through in black as well and it literally doesn't matter whatsoever! :)

Black will more than likely only be worn during prefs. White will probably be a popular color for rounds 2 or 3 and some houses wear white gowns for prefs. However, don't worry about the color of your dress, there is literally no chance of you being mistaken for a sister because you happened to wear the same color dress. I think the only time I've ever even thought about the color of a PNMs dress would be when they're wearing like neon green or something really weird. Don't stress the small things, I promise the majority of us do not give a rats ass about the color of your dress. I know this process is stressful and you have like 10,000 questions but really, just wear whatever you feel comfortable and confident in. :)
