by: SpringI won't be able to rush in fall semester. I know that spring is not don't by every sorority and mainly for girls who know the sisters. How many do you usually have to know and how close do you have to be? And how much does that help gauruntee a spot?

Wont know until closer in time, but a good number participate. Def not all, but sometimes up to 11 chapters or so.

They know because the girls they take (only a handful of girls btw) are likely girls that many chapter women already know and are close to, it's hard to get a spring bid without these prior relationships in top houses at least

All but about 5 chapters that I know of have given out spring bids at various points over the last several years. You never know who might participate. But a lot fewer bids usually go out in the spring, so without a personal connection it can be hard to get in.

Whoever needs girls for quota because theirs graduated/dropped. You don't really know til much closer to spring semester. Also a lot of people assume that it's just for lower tier houses but that isn't true. Upper tiers have done it. I believe zta did a couple years back for example
