I went into rush thinking I was going to go into one house but I still kept an open mind and ended up loving another house and in the end I preffed the new house over the original one! I'm glad I didn't stay stuck on one house. On the other hand I acidentally shook the girls hand at AOPi during round 1 out of instinct (which you're not supposed to do) and I felt super awkward and embarrassed. I ended up not being cut tho some how hahaha.
so: do keep an open mind and don't: shake their hand

Rush is something you will look back on for years to come (hopefully fondly). One thing I wish I'd done more during recruitment was use the time to really get to know other PNMs. It's hard not to get super caught up in the process and just relax, but this is honestly the best time to make friends with a ton of girls who are bound to join different houses. After rush ends girls often stay close to their newfound sisterhoods which is understandable because there will be so many ppl to meet in your new house. But unfortunately this tends to lead to houses not intermingling much with each other. I had a wonderful rush experience and ended up in the house of my dreams but I always envied my fellow PNMs who took the time to make friends before everyone recieved their bids. It's a lot of fun to see where everyone ends up, especially when you already know them personally!

I agree with someone up there ^ I wish I had made more friends with girls in my rush group, I was so focused on actual rush that I lost touch with how great it is.
Also another thing, don't put yourself in a box. I'm from Miami so I assumed that I would only fit in with more of the edgier, south Florida houses.. And I'm happy where I am but I wish I had tried a little more with houses I automatically ruled out for myself. Don't rule out anything!!!!!! Seriously. Every house is wonderful.
