I'm going to be completely honest about preffing at either ADPI or ZTA. These are the houses that take the top of the top in every area. The prom queens, head cheerleaders, most popular, etc. They are really like an exclusive club. The top 1%.
Most girls do not fit this criteria. Do yourself a favor and be honest with yourself. Most of you do not fit that description, and there is nothing wrong if you don't, but why would you set yourself up for that kind of heartbreak? It's like the girls who aspire to be friends with the cool kids but keep getting shut out.
Even if you got a bid, if you are not the top of the top, you will spend the next four years trying to be someone you are not, and feel left out.
I speak from experience. I am considered beautiful, but very insecure, and always fit in with the B crowd in HS. I had an 'on' week at rush, accepted a bid at one of the houses, but the true me came out and I always feel like nobody cares if I am present or not. It's exhausting. I really wish I had gone to AOPI or PiPhi.

I agree with the above post - ZTA and ADPI are not queen. There are gorgeous girls in those houses, yes, but they're not the celebrity type you're making them out to be. There are a lot of aversge girls, you might not see this unless you're on campus because EVERY sorority puts their prettiest girls on display on social media.
Relax, you won't be uncomfortable at ADPI or ZTA unless you chose the wrong house. They are not all perfect cheerleaders and prom queens, which I know because I have friends from EVERY sorority. It seems like OP has good intentions, but what she's saying is very, very overly dramatic and frankly untrue.

I think this is a little off, I preffed at ZTA and am not the prom queen pageant girl type. But maybe that's why I ended up choosing a different top house. That's not to say that everyone in ZTA is like that though. You don't have to change yourself to be liked by them but it's where you feel the most comfortable at the end of the day.

I am in one of these houses and this is a very embellished example of us. Sure there are beautiful girls who were prom queens, cheerleaders, popular af in high school etc but not every girl is an intimidating perfect 10. Not at all. There are girls who are just cute or normally pretty and girls who aren't that popular. These posts just scare PNMs and that's really not necessary, they are nervous enough already

I preffed at both these houses and am not the prom queen type either. There are cheerleaders, dazzlers, and beauty queens in my sorority but there are a lot more "average" girls, who most would consider very pretty, but not celebrity gorgeous. I haven’t felt left out or unwanted once, quite the opposite! I love it and can't wait to meet the new PNM's in a few weeks.

Here is the difference:
ADPI-more conservative, classy, higher GPA, has a God squad,southern vibe
ZTA- a little wilder, less conservative, lower GPA, more edgy, girls from all over

one house-real nice-grounded-will talk to you. beautiful inside and out.
the other-snotty, think they are sooo much better than you. I just do not
get it.
That is it in a nut shell. I am not even in either, but that is my perception.

adpi-classy-nice ,beautiful inside and out, great GPA, smart.
zta-not so nice, lowest GPA of all the houses. Think they are better than you.

ZTAs tend to have an elitist attitude that, in my opinion, ADPI dors not have. ADPI's sisterhood also seems to be much stronger. Otherwise, the girls are of the same caliber when it comes to looks and involvement.
Don't believe the "God squad" stuff you hear about ADPI on here. It's just something people say because they have no bad things to say in reality. I'm really fond of ADPIs because my best friend is one and I preffed #2 there! (After the house I'm currently in :))

I'm in ADPI and I'm not southern at all?? I'm from out west and many of the girls in my PC are not southern or religious...
ALSO definitely not working on our MRS. Degrees. That's rude to say considering we put a lot of work in to get into UF in the first place.

ADPI have always been considered one of UF's best sororities in leadership and
academics. ADPI's are future doctors, lawyers, engineers. Beauty Queens, Student body president, etc. Great Sisterhood, genuine ladies that are classy and down to earth. Most involved house on Campus. The type of girls guys want to take home to parents.
Zta( worst gpa of the houses, next to SK. Stepford wife type ladies. Have history of having bad sisterhood. Not all that nice either, think they are better than you. I preffed at both of these houses. I actually went to another house. PNM's are picked on looks alone, somewhat shallow.

My room mate is a ZTA and I've met a lot of her sisters over the past year. They are all extemely sweet, beautiful, and really fun to be with.I'm in a "middle tier" house and none have ever acted snotty and anything but super nice to me. I'm also friends with a girl from my hometown who is an ADPI and she loves her sorority. Bottom line, both are awesome houses and anyone that receives a bid is one lucky person!

I am in one of these houses. I was popular in High school, but I was not a cheerleader or the prom queen. I am pretty, but very nice and out going. I love
my house, and my sisters. I can not imagine myself anywhere else. Yes there are some real beautiful girls in my house, and their are some average girls, but the best thing about my house is the friendships that I have from my sisters. I think I made the cut because I am extremely out going, friendly, and I just met the right girls on the rounds. Good luck ladies. Please do not be scared of ADPI and ZTA. These houses are awesome.
