what do houses look for in juniors

by: Junior

I will be a junior transfer and I heard most houses take a number of juniors each year. What specifically do they look for that'll make you stand out from the other juniors rushing? Thank you! :)

I don't think chapters care about transfer versus returning. I know mine doesn't, it really only matters because it gives you something to talk about- why you transferred or why you waited to rush etc. Just be confident and yourself, show us that you want to get involved and that you will make the most of your remaining years.

Prob if you have a normal personality and what you can bring to the sorority (what you were involved in at your last school, GPA, etc.)

At my old school, if you were a transfer going through recruitment, your previous school's GPA did NOT get taken into consideration, it was only if you were an upperclassmen who had already taken classes for at least a semester at THAT school. It sounds like this is not the way it works at UF?

I am a transfer and UF does not accept old GPA, they start your GPA completely over

so this means chapters wouldn't know if i may/may not be GPA risk? it seems like from other posts whether or not youre a GPA risk is a serious consideration and means for dropping girls in the first rounds.

Bump because I'm curious about the "starting fresh" GPA thing....do they take into account your high school one then? They gotta have at least an idea of how you do in school...seems weird to me
