it depends. Since it's drop add week most won't but you cannot be officially excused from class like you can during rush. I had good life last year during bid day and I skipped it and I got marked absent. Totally worth it tho. You don't want to miss bid day.. one of my favorite days from freshman year!!

You'll be ok. Professors can't really count attendance/clicker points until after drop/add because people may come into the class later in the week or switch around their schedules or whatever. You might miss basic syllabus info or a beginning lecture but it's not hard to catch up and prefs/bid day is not something you want to miss!

I think I skipped last year because it's add drop so lots of people are switching in and out!

Skipping should be fine since it's the beginning off the semester, but you can always coordinate with your pi chis to have a break during the period you have class if it's mandatory
