Clearly, many of you all do not know about the different councils that sororities and fraternities can be a part of at UF. Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. is a part of the NPHC which has it's own traditions that are very different from those of the Pan-hellenic council. For anyone to think that a sorority is lower tier because it isn't a part of the PC and doesn't participate in rush, just shows that person's ignorance. The Deltas at UF have stellar, award-winning programming and they really set the standard for other organizations on campus. The women are very professional and their sisterhood is always apparent.

To those of you saying they aren't legitimate, please educate yourselves about UF's Greek community: there are FOUR councils, including Panhellenic and IFC, AND the National Panhellenic Council (which DST is part of) and the Multicultural Greek Council. NPHC and MGC have sororities and fraternities that promote advocacy and have rich traditions, such as stepping. The ladies I've met in DST are professional, hardworking, and passionate. Also great performers (impressed by their founder's set).

NOTHING SPECIAL ABOUT THESE LADIES OR AKA, THEY DO NOT EVEN HAVE A HOUSE. WHAT IS THE DEAL? MOST SORORITIES AT UF HAVE HOUSES. LOTS OF BLACK FEMALES ARE NOW PLEDGING THE WHITE SORORITIES AS THEY HAVE BECOME MORE DIVERSE. GREAT TO SEE A BLACK FEMALE GO TO A NON TRADITIONAL WHITE HOUSE BY JOINING ADIPI, ZTA, KD, DDD AND OTHER HOUSE AND THEY ARE BEING WELCOMED WITH OPEN AMRS. BLACK FEMALES SHOULD NOT HAVE THINK THEY ARE STUCK AT DST OR AKA. JOIN THE PAN HEL LADIES.

Of all the greek life on campus a total of 65 chapters, only 39 havr houses, 23 of which are frats and 16 are sororities all in the npc. No african american or multicultural greek organkzation has a house.... Thats just the way it is, no need to hate on the org for that. It doesn't make it any less of a house. The "deal"is that only historically white Greeks have houses. If not having a house is a deal breaker then youre probably choosing your sorority for the wrong reasons

NOT A MEMBER OF THE PAN LIKE THE REST OF THE HOUSES, AND THEY DO NOT PARTICIPATE IN RUSH. NO HOUSE TO GO TO, SO YOU MISS OUT OF THE SORORITY EXPERIENCE. NOT IMPRESSED WITH THESE LADIES AT ALL, BOSSY, ARROGANT AND LOUD..... LOWER TIER, NOTHING SPECIAL ABOUT THEM. GET A HOUSE, AND JOIN THE PAN LIKE EVERYONE ELSE.
