im a legacy for a bottom tier here
by: the new kidWait, if im reading this right Tri Delta is seriously bottom tier? I'm a legacy for it because my mom was one at Stanford. anyway, should I try just follow being a legacy or should I try for a higher house? and why is it a bottom tier??

First, from my experience LMU Greek Life is an extremely inclusive community and only a few ( and in my opinion, petty) people put much value on who is or who isn't top tier. Up until last year Tri Delta was the newest sorority on campus so maybe that's why people perceive it as lower. One of my best friends is in Tri Delta absolutely loves it and seems to have closer bonds with her sisters than what I see in the other sororities, including my own.
Enjoy your first semester apart from Greek Life and then go into recruitment with an open mind, legacy or not(:

I agree with the above. Petty people keep trying to "rank" the chapters and usually on superficial things. All chapters have strengths and weaknesses and all chapters on campus have something wonderful to offer. All chapters on this campus are great and you shouldn't count out any of them, especially not your legacy chapter. (Having that extra special bond with your mother is great.)
