why lmu parties are most boring

by:

I have been offered bids from top tier frats but I declined all of them after I found out none of them really met my expectations. I see a lot of people asking about parties at LMU and the fun of Greek Life and I'm here to really clear the air for people.

There are no parties.

If you want to come here expecting to party hard with a frat, even Lambda, you wont. Sure they may preach they " party every weekend" but do they really PARTY? You tell me, would a beer pong table and a place that runs out of alcohol at 11pm where everyone is in cliques on their phone sound like a fun party? I didn't think so, probably reminds you of your first few HS parties when you were just being broken in. What did you expect, have you ever looked around our campus and noticed its all isolated cliques?

Does anyone else party off campus? Personally, I gave up on LMU for fun after trying to rush and realizing that being forced to abide by a schedule my whole college career wasnt worth the HS quality parties I'd be attending. College is all about the experience,

I venture for parties, I go to UCLA every weekend and it;s 30498534908534 times more fun than LMU. It's too easy to bring your best wingman/wingmen and talk to the HUNDREDS of girls walking around the student housing area, and then just walk into one of the 1-5 parties on each street. Does anyone else venture out to party? I suggest doing it, you wont regret it!

I couldn't have said this better ^, everything there pretty much hits it on the nail. I'm in a frat now, wont say which one cause of what Ima say next, but I wish I could just leave.

You dont need a frat for connections either for all the guys crying about "its not all about partying," anyone with basic social skills and drive can and will meet the right people who can be a valuable asset to you for your school career, and maybe starting your career after school. I joined and stayed because i thought they'd provide connections, but I provided myself with connections by talking and meeting people.

Not worth the money here, I dont party and travel off campus, but its a good idea I guess. Don't join a frat unless you really feel like you need a brotherhood, or have problems making friends and or talking to girls.

Whoever wrote this post has been to the wrong parties. I've been here for less than a year and there are usually 2-4 parties going on any given Thursday- Saturday night for Greeks and nongreeks. A lot of people go out on Tuesdays too. Usually the top frats will throw down and the sports teams (especially rugby) throw good ones too. Really it's all about going with your friends and having a good time. Also UCLA is dead on Fridays their only good nights are Thursdays.

To be honest this isnt really the place for partying if you come here looking for that solely, but it makes up for it everywhere else like academics. I get what you're saying, just because there are as people have mentioned, some parties, doesn't make them good parties or "ragers" like a huge state school. But our parties are more groups of friends and less out of control randoms you may not know. So no our school is not as crazy as the bar you seemed to have set in your mind or maybe from watching too many youtube videos of Florida State, but you wont get that here. There's always UCLA for you anyways it sounds like? Sorry you're let down, I guess.
