theta vs a phi

aphi is traditionally considered top here. however, i was much more impressed with theta than aphi during reruitment.

Theta is considered much more chill and also very pretty and definitely can be interchangeable for top house but aphi has very pretty girls and are fun and is considered top.

I have friends in both! Honestly both are top houses here at Lmu. They just have tottaly different vibes. Aphi is like a band and everyone wants to be one. Some of the girls are really close others are not. That can be said for the theta as well. But they are a chill vibe. Both have super pretty girls and both will always be seen going out. There styles are just a little different.

Alpha Phi is top house at LMU. Theta has a lot a chill girls but many of them have dropped due to lack of sisterhood. Alpha Phi, from what I have seen, consistently shows all the positive qualities that one looks for in choosing a sorority: ie. positive personalities, energy, leadership experience, supportive, etc. Yes, Alpha Phi at LMU does have a lot of good looking girls but that does not seem to be the basis of their chapter. Everyone I have met has been easy to talk to and a wonderful friend.

They are both tied for top house

I think this years pledge class for each will really decide who is top, so both houses should really put a lot of effort into recruitment this year! I think theta is for girls who are more chill and alpha phi is more for girls who are super invested in Greek life. I also think pi phi is really up and coming tho and could give both houses a run for their money!!!

Honestly don't worry about it, they're both really good it just depends on your vibe. And keep an open mind! I know a lot of girls that went in only wanting those two, didn't end up in either and absolutely love the sorority the did end up in. I also know girls that went in only wanting those two, and then dropping second day when they didn't get called back, even though some other really amazing sororities did invite them back and now they're bitter af. Hell I know a girl that went in sure that she wanted anything BUT aphi or theta because she listened to negative stereotypes and now she's a proud theta. There are 7 awesome sororities don't limit yourself to one or two before recruitment even starts, it's shallow and pointless. You can listen to as many stereotypes as you want, but until you're in the process actually talking with the girls there's no way to know for sure.
