how much do looks matter

So I am a freshman, and I am just wondering, how much do looks matter during rush? I know how to have a good time, dress well, and keep a conversation, but I may not be what most would refer to as pretty. Will my options be limited during rush?

yeah your options may be limited, but why would you want to be in a place like that anyway? the sororities that are real and genuine won't care what you look like and those are the best ones to be in.

Also is there a way to make up for not being pretty during rush? Because I’ve heard girls that aren’t pretty tend to only get invited back to 2-3 places max, and sometimes even less depending on other things

I'm not very pretty and I got invited back to the mac number of houses each night. It depends on your personality and your willingness to put yourself out there at every house, even if it's not your favorite one.
