Hey josh let me give you some tips

Try to rush multiple fraternities. YOU ARE ALLOWED TO RUSH AT YOUR AGE. Trust me, age is not an issue if we like you. Don’t even ask that question in person because they will know it’s you and can reject you. Don’t mention your activity on Greek rank at all! I’d recommend a lower tier frat who won’t be picky and exclusive. AEPI, and TEP are a few small orgs that will be more likely to accept you. See how you fit in with the guys, I honestly think you would do well in TEP. Try other orgs but those will give you the best odds.
Good luck Josh. Anyone saying you can’t join us lying or messing with you. Go out and rush! Ask the Greek office questions if you want a serious answer. If you reply here, I will help answer any questions too! Try and rush Josh, it can’t hurt to shoot your shot, you’ll regret it if you let random people on greekrank make that decision for you.

The bigger orgs reject a lot of people. I think the person was trying to give josh realistic feedback. Saying you can get in anywhere would be lying if said to most people. Josh would have the best odds of he went somewhere easy as would all people.

@dont lie, but realistically Josh might want the bigger frat names ya know? In the four years I was in my org, there was a pnm who would always participate in formal recruitment and every single recruitment she would drop when she didn’t end up with the srat she wanted.
Josh might have certain expectations already. she might be crushed to hear this. I get we are trying to be really helpful and realistic to him, but at the end of the day, he might feel as if we are basically saying “you aren’t good enough” for a frat like… sigma pi or something

@wait Greek life can be harsh. Everyone is crazy judgmental towards potential rushes. If they think you’re weird or have bad social skills many orgs won’t let you in. I get that you’re trying to be nice but we don’t want to give him false expectations.

I was looking through Josh’s Reddit accounts and his name isn’t actually josh. I’m not going to post it here, but orgs identifying him by name isn’t an issue.

then I guess it checks out! Just as the original poster said, @“Josh”, you will be perfectly fine! You should 100% avoid asking the “age” question to the orgs you meet, and telling any frats that you asked a lot of questions on Greek rank like this past week! Good luck Josh! but don’t you both think it’s kinda mean that you’re basically telling him that he has a chance of doing well with these frats and not others. People usually go into rush with an ideal frat or srat in mind. What if he doesn’t want these frats and has his heart set on one you didn’t mention?
