movement at ksu over the passed 2 years

KA came on spring 2014 but pretty much already had a close group of guys in spring 2013 left over from the failed SAE colony so they've been here pretty much since fall 2013. 2 years inst enough to put them over DX or OX but it is more than enough to separate them from the semi weird/nerdy poly guys and the new D-Sig colony.
Pi Kapp has been here awhile but have had some troubles the passed 4 years due to grades. Their history and parties were still enough to bring in some solid guys and stay in the upper echelon of fraternities.
DTD was only ever top because they got SO VERY LUCKY. With Pi Kapp's probation troubles in 2011, Kappa Sig AND Delta Chi being kicked of in fall amd spring of 2011 they were able to snag up HUGE groups of solid guys who didn't go OX didn't want to deal with PKP's probo and didn't want the wierdos for Pikes as brothers. Due to the lack of competition and OX being kicked off 2 years later in 2013 they became top Dogs, until KS and DX came back and started snagging up solid guys again and began their steady fall into suspension.

The only reason why KS is so popular is because they were KSU's first big name southern fraternity, PKP was founded in Charleston but isn't a big name amongst southern chapters. For that reason they attracted a lot of attention, and until KA chartered last spring, they were the only big name southern fraternity on campus.
The reason why PKP and OX are so popular is because they were KSU's first 2 fraternities and will always get attention for it as well as much more alumni support than other chapters and in house legacies coming to rush them every semester.
SAE and SN have the names and the history, SAE is just as old as Kappa Sigma is and SN is just as old as OX, they just don't have the quality or the amount of quality that most KSU chapters enjoy. They will improve over the years but I don't think they'll be top tier until KSU recovers from the lose of the delts and the next top tier fraternity is kicked off.

DPhiE and PM will always trade places at the top. GPB doesn't have the popularity that KD or AOll have so they've been hopped by them. But they are much better than ZTA and AXiD. At least until ZTA's name brings them more solid girls.

I would switch SAE and DX in the 2015 rankings but that's just me.

Plus even though Theta Chi is obviously the worst of the top 4 everyone knows that they are still going to be a solid fraternity by the time the Delts come. Might not be Top but will definitely be best of the rest... DTD will struggle for a year or two but then people will realize how good they used to be and they will work their way back into being a good fraternity. Even DX has returned and even though they don't have the numbers to show it their social lives and improved sorority relations show it. They will surprise some people this spring and fall. KA will continue to get solid guys and build a reputation off of what it is at most southern schools like Kappa Sig has.

People are hard on SN and SAE after these next few years they will build themselves into respectable KSU fraternities. SAE will be the better one I think when the delts return.

Gotta bump this been here 4 years myself... This is pretty accurate from what I've heard/remember myself.

To explain my 2015 ranks,
No one debates that KS PKA and PKP are the top 3 fraternities this year. As for the next 3? OX took a big pledge class since they booted a lot of solid guys so they needed numbers to make up for that, they also got a handful of good guys and some not so good ones. Deperado week and their history certainly puts them in this tier. DX has a solid social schedule and keep their parties on the DL since they're a smaller fraternity unless its a joint party like they did with SAE. Pretty cool guys who are making moves. KA has had some solid guys come through since their founding class, which was full of guys from the failed KSU SAE colony and other guys who didn't get bids from the fraternities they wanted. After that though? They got some solid guys with decent numbered PC's.their name on top of having less goobers/awkward guys than the poly fraternities puts them here. Even though they've only been here since fall 13. The next 3 are all solid and good choices. All 3 are considered a little wierder than the tier above but have some claims to fame to keep them above the guys below, SAE's Halloween party with DX, SN won homecoming (yes it was with AOll but still pretty cool thing.) And did well in intramural football. D-Sig took a huge pledge class in the spring so as soon as they are chartered they will have tons of money to spend. DTD is suspended so they can't do anything, SP has some ok guys they're just so small. TKE is just TKE.

There are zero guys in KA that were part of the failed SAE colony.

The history of it is spot on. Everyone here is good sorority wise though so it'd be hard to rank them.
