legacy (sorority )

Hello KSU Greek! I don't understand how legacy work for rush. I'm a legacy for KD and Phi Mu. Is it true that some sororities do not like their own legacy (will not pick them because of it) and being a legacy give a negative impact on recruitment? I heard being a legacy is good but will it affect on recruitment with other sororities. I'm also a Jr.
