new sorority or frat? both?
by: whos next?
We just got zta here and are about to get alpha xi in the fall for sororities, fraternity wise we have KA and will get sigma nu and possibly SAE in the fall for southern poly. But what are some other fraternities or sororities that people would like to see here? Does anyone think it'll happen anytime soon?
For fraternities i think sigma chi would be great and sigma kappa for sororities would be good too. Anyone care to give opinions here?

probably not, at least for sororities. A colony is already a big deal, and while Zeta has been successful numbers-wise so far, you have to consider that Alpha Xi is coming from a campus where total is 35, while at KSU, total is 145. It's going to take time for both groups to build and maintain steady numbers. There just needs to be time for the system to stabilize, and then maybe in a few years, if there's need, a new group will be brought on.

As hard as it would be for sororities its going to be twice as hard for fraternities to bring on another chapter, KA one of the strongest names in southern greek life might not even be here in the fall so the fact that ksu is bringing on sigma nu and sae from southern poly doesn't make sense. These fraternities are ok for southern poly but wont do too well at ksu, and my advice to them would be to stay at southern poly. As for sororities i don't expect another to be on and colonize until at least next fall. Usually ksu waits about 2 years before adding another sorority like it did with KD and ZTA. fraternities will likely be closed for another 5 years and sororities for another 2.
