pinetree revival?? is it possible??
by: New HopeWhat would happen if notable alumnus of one of the more prominent fraternities buy a house for their fraternity? Would that save Greek life here?

This and making The Haven more prominent as a GreekLife hotspot would honestly be the move. Right now The Haven is kind of KA’s domain (Pi Kapp currently has a house but they really haven’t done anything with the location since they were on social probation) but if two or more fraternities moved to The Haven and some fraternities got houses in Pinetree, Greek Life would be solid again. West has just became a hotbed for cops so Greek Life there’s just meh

There's a KS who owns 2 houses in pine tree, which they can't use anymore because the Homeowners association has neighborhood watch patrolling 24/7 and calling the cops.
PKP and DX used to have 2 of the closer houses to campus but I'm not sure if they own them.
When I was here in fall 2016 that's where PiKapp and KS threw their blowouts. If any of you remember that's when pine tree HOA made a huge fuss about it and started to push things under.
All of the older guys I know used to say Pine tree was where the biggest parties at KSU were, even bigger then west which was massive.

Yeah i wasn't there for that but my big brother was, he told me there were like a dozen freshmen who were mugged that week walking to and from campus to that house close to campus.

the problem with that is the haven will start to enforce curfews just like west is RN, as soon as parties get big enough to start damaging property en mass. There will never be any massive parties with a thousand or two people attending and going wild. That time has passed.
The fraternities that are left aren't big enough, and most of them are still new to the school and trying to create sorority relations.
Looking back at the schools academic reports from 2010-2015 KS, PKA, DTD, OX, PKP were all between 85-120 guys. All paying dues. only half of OX and Delt pay dues rn, and they're 2 of the 3 biggest groups.
It will be at least 3 or 4 years until greek life recovers if it doesn't die first.
