fall recruitment
by: :)what kind of questions do girls ask recruitment? (sorority) like how nerve-racking is it? Do most of the girls end up getting a bid????

I was just like you!! But don’t be nervous, you’re going to be fine!
You’ll be asked basic stuff like “What’s your major, where did you go to school, what did you do in high school, what were you involved in in high school (clubs/sports), and all that basic stuff... Then you’ll probably connect on a deeper level and get into more specific conversations. It opens April 9th. Also almost every girl get a bid, so don’t be worried! I got dropped by a few houses after the first day but I ended up preffing my top 2 since even before recruitment so don’t worry about that if you do get dropped. If girls don’t join a sorority by the end of the week 99.99% chances are she dropped out of recruitment herself!

Wow thanks so much !!! That helped a lot. And just wondering , does it matter if you weren’t in like clubs and stuff? Like do they look for certain answers when they ask u these questions? And one last thing, if registration opens April 9, how do they get your gpa since the semester isn’t over yet?? (I’ll be a sophomore when i go through recruitment) thanks!!

Yeah no problem!! Even though it opens the 9th, you can wait until pretty much the end of summer to sign up (but I reccomend doing it as soon as you know your GPA because I think the cost goes up the longer you wait). Also since you’re a sophomore you will probably be asked questions geared more towards your first year at KSU so try to get involved somehow if you can (yes you still have time to get involved!!)

Thanks You!!!. I mean I’ve been to plays, volleyball/basketball games, and campus museums and I’ve been to the Disney club before and meetings for careers. Idk if that counts as being involved on campus but would it matter if I’m not rlly in clubs or anything?? Part of the reason i want to join a sorority is bc I can get more involved on campus!!

Definitely mention all of that! It’s not the most important thing so dont stress about it. Just make a good impression (Hold a conversation) and look cute (Dress appropriate and do your hair/makeup nicely) and you’ll be fine(:

Oh and before you walk in the first doors its SO nerve wracking like you’ll want to pee your pants. But as soon as your paired with a girl, you’ll realize that she’s just like you (nervous!) On the sister side we’re even MORE nervous because it’s our job to keep the conversation going. But that also means don’t blow it by not talking or giving short answers. Please elaborate and don’t be like “What’s your major?” “Undecided.”
