fall 2016 rankings w/ explanations
by: Victory Lap
I posted on here around this time last year, and felt like I did a pretty good job remaining unbiased with the rankings since the post got alot of upvotes and not many people disagreeing with them. That being said, I figured I would do them again, one last time. This my 4th year at KSU, and my 5th year in college. I attended another college, before KSU, that had a large Greek Life also. I am in a fraternity here at KSU and I don't consider my Fraternity Top 2, but I will try to remove as much of my personal bias as possible. Therefore, I present to you my final rankings that I will post in my college career:
Top:
Kappa Sigma
I had them here last year, and they haven't dropped from the Top. The only negative thing that I can say about them is that their Southern Poly chapter that merged with them are some weirdos. All-in-all though, very solid chapter. Girls love them and they are involved on campus. Parties are pretty solid.
Pi Kappa Alpha
I also had them here last year. They are always very involved on campus, and always recruit a large number of guys each semester. Consistently the largest chapter on campus. Girls love them, and they also have great parties. Negatives to them is that they have a few sketchy members, and that they keep toeing the line with getting into major trouble. I don't need to elaborate on that, and if you are wondering what I mean ask anyone in Greek Life at KSU.

Middle-Top
Pi Kappa Phi
One of the larger chapters on campus also. Involved around campus and girls seem to like them. Very diverse group of guys. Consistently seem to get a large pledge class each semester, but has some weird guys in every group. Parties are pretty good.
Kappa Alpha
Came onto campus strong, and seem to have pretty good pledge classes these past semesters. Have stepped up involvement around campus, and girls seem to like them. AmeriKA was a bust, and have some weird older brothers but I think they have good momentum going into fall.

Middle
Theta Chi
Came back on to campus, and sororities still love them. Very involved on campus, and has recruited alot of guys since coming back on. That being said, they did bid some kids that they shouldn't have but I think they deserve a solid middle of the pack ranking. On the rise for sure though.
Delta Tau Delta
Yes I know, shocker to alot of people that think they shouldn't be this high. I know they still can't recruit this Fall, but c'mon guys we know they will be coming back strong. They still have a large group of pretty good guys, so I don't see them dropping any lower than this.
Delta Chi
One of the smaller chapters at KSU, but probably one of the closest brotherhoods. Have a group of pretty good guys, but their lack of size and sorority relations makes it hard for me to move them any higher.

Low Mid
Sigma Nu
Without a doubt the best chapter to come from Southern Poly. They give 110% all of the time, but that being said they come off as total try-hards. Good group of guys, but it is pretty hard for a Southern Poly chapter to match a KSU one. That being said, I don't think it is far fetched for them to move up the ranks very quickly. Time is the key piece for them if they keep up the effort.
Bottom
Sigma Alpha Epsilon
Make a strong effort to have good sorority relations, but alot of them don't associate with them in anyway. Have alot of stranger guys, but the effort is there. I honestly don't know much more about these guys.
Delta Sigma Phi
If you want to see an example of what a Fraternity's Nationals shouldn't do when colonizing a campus, look no further. I dropped them multiple spots from last year, because I didn't think there was anyway a KSU chapter could be worse than a Southern Poly chapter in just one year, but they did it. They give a bid to literally anything with a heartbeat that goes to one of their events. They get large pledge classes, but 90% of them are weirdos. Positive side though, give 110% effort and are involved around campus.

Bottom (I don't know if they are even on campus still?)
Sigma Pi
I would assume these guy are still around, but I haven't seen them on campus ever? I think people rush them, but they have a small chapter? Still don't know much about them.
Tau Kappa Epsilon
What is a TKE? Is there still a chapter here? Has anyone ever seen one on campus? So many questions, so little answers...
#6by: Honestly
Even though theyre gone DTD is still almost as big as KA and all of them and have much better sorority relations. Obviously theyre going to get passed this year but id say theyre #4 for now.. They still initiated 22 decent guys this passed spring even though they were suspended for what happened. That speaks a lot.
