to the panhellenic council talk about how we are all one giant siterhood, etc etc. If you have the mindset of being open to every sorority you visit, I promise you that you will have an AMAZING recruitment (like I did). If you go in with the mindset of 'this sorority has this reputation and blah blah blah' recruitment wont be fun and it'll be stressful because you'll find that the sorority which feels like your home is the one you didnt want because of it's reputation. Trust me, it happens. I wore a cute blouse, shorts, and sandals for orientation night. For sisterhood, I wore a cute dress and some comfy, adorable flats. This is when you get to meet all the sororities!!! This is such a long process, and you basically have to scream to hear each other, but it's so much fun! First impression is everything, so the first day is your day to shine. That night you'll drop the sororities you feel like weren't your home. For Philanthropy we wore the panhellenic shirts we received during orientation, and I paired mine with my white converse and high waisted shorts. I was called back to 4 out of the 6 sororites (I dropped 2 of them) and then I had to drop another two that night. For pref night I wore a beautiful knee length dress that had long sleeves and ugh.. it was adorable. Anyways, I went to the two sororities I loved the most and then I ranked those two on a piece of paper from the sorority I wanted to the Sorority which was my second home. (I received a bid from my first choice

if you were curious). Sisterhood and Philanthropy nights were mostly were you are being judged and picked by the sororities you visited and they choose you if they think you belong in their chapter. Preference night is more along the lines of it being your choice. You may put Alpha Phi as your first choice and Kappa Kappa Gamma as your second, but you arent promised a spot in AP and may receive a bid from KKG (we dont have these sororities at KSU just yet though). They told us in the beginning to "trust the system" and thats EXACTLY what you should do. The system never puts you in a sorority were you dont "belong". You probably arent going to make best friends right away, but I encourage you to stick with it. Like my big always told me, you get out what you put in. If you go to every function and try to make an effort to meet up with girls and go on commons dates, you will make friends and you will belong and fit in seamlessly with your sorority. If you question your choice (everyone usually does at one point but dont linger on it), you'll regret your choice. Recruitment is the first stepping block to finding your best friends and your home. I did, and I can promise you that I regret nothing. Good luck with Recruitment! Roses <3
