Transferred from KSU to Georgia Southern last fall and I have to say that Greek life here is really tiny compared to most schools. Even the irrelevant fraternites at Gsu have bigger parties than the top fraternities at ksu by a mile. Fall tailgates and buckhead are the only things good about its greek scene plus West 22 pool is never filled and compare it to pools at other schools its an entire rager. Unless you're in greek life or you have friends in it you never even know a party is going on because theres no houses on campus.

If you're going to KSU and want a social life without hanging out with your high school friends, Greek Life is the way to go. Even if you are not the typical frat or sorority girl, it's worth getting involved. It's basically an instant group of friends because almost everyone is friendly and open minded. I've met several people that I know I'll be friends with forever and they make college life so much better. On the other hand though, ever since the frat houses were lost, greek life has been slightly declining. Overall numbers have gone down because of it and it makes it harder to host events. End of the day, solid greek life, rush if you want a good social life, and the future lies in the hands on the relationship between the school and Greek Life itself.

Greek life here at KSU is worth it. It’s not like Alabama, but is also a lot better than small schools here in GA. And a lot better to be in than to not.

Greek life is getting bigger at this school and I hope it continues to grow. There’s a fraternity/sorority for everyone. You just have to find your people and wait Greek organization suits you the best. Go Greek!
