oos rushing
by: out of stateim thinking of rushing but i come from out of state. do out of state girls usually go to lower ranked houses? i have friends that are in a considered "top house" but does greek at kstate see oos as a negative?

Not at all! It’s honestly more of a conversation point for us during recruitment. When I personally am talking to a girl from out of state I’m actually more comfortable because I feel like there’s more to talk about with out of state women. Getting in a “top house” really depends on GPA, how involeded you are in the conversation, and honestly what house you fit in best with. I would highly suggest giving Rush a chance, you can always drop later if you don’t like it!

at a lot of schools (especially in the south) it can be a disadvantage to be from out of state, but at k-state it's more the opposite. there are a couple of houses that it's easier to get into if you have friends in the house or went to their hs (pi phi is a big one--so many johnson county girls in that house who knew each other in high school). but the majority of houses see a prospective member from out of state as a good thing and it automatically makes you more interesting! my house takes a lot of oos girls and i agree with the girl above--it makes the convos during rush more interesting because there's more to ask about!
