kansas state sorority woes

by: maybe PNM

I'm thinking about rushing.
My aunt was in Chi Omega at k state maybe 20 years ago and she always looked so happy in her sorority photos. They are my favorite photos of her by far, and it makes me happy that she was happy, if that makes sense. I think I want that too, to have that sense of fun during college. She never talked about it a lot but then again I was too young then to know about it or ask.
I'm not too much of a party person, in fact I'm very studious, and I'm a little apprehensive to drop the money they are asking to spend a week rushing to be a part of something I'm not sure about.
So here are my questions:
1-Which sororities have "studious" reputations opposed to others that focus more on social events and parties.
2-What made you choose your sorority if you are a part of one.
3-Is there a lot of drama between houses or inside houses?
4-Do any of the sororities haze. (I ask this just to make sure because my dad is very adamant that I don't rush because of this. And I agree, hazing is terrible)

I've made this post sound a lot more formal than it needs to be, yeesh, sorry. Thank you!

I would say Kappa kappa gamma, ADPi, sigma kappa, theta, and kappa delta are all very studious (not basing it on gpa just the girls I meet)
I chose my sorority because I felt that I fit in there and the types of girls would be a positive influence on me.
I think some houses have more drama than others but at the end of the day it's Kansas state and most girls are good hearted and nothing would be big enough drama to tear a house apart.
And as for hazing I hate to say this but the biggest ones I've heard of are chi omega, Zeta, and Theta. I don't know if that is 100% true but I've heard that not only from girls in Greek life but from girls in those houses unfortunately.

At the end of the day they're all amazing houses. The best thing you can do is find the one that is right for you! Good luck!

Thank you for the positive comment. You don't see a lot of those on here.
