pros and cons of every house (in alphabetical orde

by:

AXO
Pros:
The house is pretty close to campus. You can walk to campus all year round if your classes aren't on the other side of campus.
The girls are a very sweet group, very easy to get along with
They have a solid pretty major philanthropy event (Dodge Domestic Violence Dodgeball Tournament)
Cons:
You can't have your cellphone when you sleep, a girl is in charge of waking people up.
This house tends to get a bad rep (not sure why) but they all seem like really sweet girls to me

ADPi
Pros:
This is a very prestigious house in general (their grades mainly)
It's a solid and well liked chapter, it has been on campus a long time
Cons:
Their house is not walking distance to campus
When you live in you sleep in a sleeping dorm

AGD
Pros:
This house is BRAND NEW. So if you're really into helping a chapter grow, this is the house for you!
I have many friends in the house and they're very sweet. They seem to have a good sisterhood.
This house participates in a ton of things.
Cons:
Like I said, it's brand new so they don't have a house yet. Chapter and any other meeting/event for them is all in the union.
They don't really have any reputation or any solid philanthropy events, not a well known house.

AXD
Pros:
This house tends to get good grades and is a well rounded chapter
The girls are very sweet and you see them all the time on campus. This is a very involved house overall.
Cons:
They have a reputation for partying.

Cons:
They almost fell below the greek average for grades, which would have caused them to go on probation for one year. (the house can't participate in anything/can't have any events for a year)
Not a super great sisterhood, there's a lot of drama in the house

KD
Pros:
They are a very sweet house and really close to campus
Their house will be completely remodeled for the 2016 school year!
They have a major philanthropy event in the fall that a lot of houses participate in.
Cons:
Their sisterhood isn't too great from what I've heard
For 2015 recruitment they made members spend the night and told them horror stories (remember you don't have to do anything until you're initiated!!)

KKG
Pros:
These girls always do well in recruitment and their grades are very high
Their house was redone in 2014 so it's still very new
They are generally a good house, you don't hear many bad things about them.
Cons:
Their house is not walking distance to campus
They dont seem to participate in much and they've been nicknamed kappa kappa grandma because of this

Pi Beta Phi
Pros:
This was the very first house at K-State ever! So their chapter is very solid and they seem to get along well.
The house is pretty nice and is walking distance to campus
Cons:
They didn't do well in 2015 recruitment which hurt their overall chapter
They are known as the party house

no horror stories were told at the kd house. we played fun games, hung out, and our lovely house mom told us a little legend about our house. and it wasn't near after 2015 recruitment(bid night i presume you were told), it was later in the fall.

Sigma Kappa
Pros:
Walking distance to campus and they have a very nice house rooming wise. This house probably has some of biggest rooms and you get to paint them.
Very sweet girls, have a nice mix so you'll always find a Sigma Kappa you'll like
Cons:
Their house on the outside doesn't look super appealing on the outside
They're kind of know as being a little odd, but with a mix of girls like I said above, you'll always get some weird girls.

ZTA:
Pros:
The house is very new so still very nice on the inside and out
They seem to have a good sisterhood
Cons:
Not walking distance to campus
They're very competitive and not well liked by some other houses
They had A TON of girl drop last year. It was rumored that they were just too strict (border line hazing, but again that is a rumor and may not be true) and a ton of girls hated it so they dropped.

pi phi's pc really wasn't bad?? I don't get why they get so much heat on hear all the time

by: Idk

I think it's because they were way low on numbers. Nothing to do with the pledge clas itself

Its probably because their member don't know when to use the right form of words. For example: I don't get why they get so much heat on "HERE" all the time. Try again sweetie

I appreciate you being respectful when posting this. Too often you see people being way too savage in their comments. The only thing I disagree on is the walking distances! I think that's completely dependent on where your classes are. For example, I live in the Fairchild neighborhood, and walking to Calvin, Ackert, or the Union takes around 10 minutes, however walking to Umberger takes close to 20. Walking distance is fairly relative.

Honestly don't understand the purpose behind this right before recruitment. It's obvious you have a bias towards certain houses. If girls are reading this during recruitment week it's going to sway their decision and I don't think that's right.
