recruitment 2016
by: ObjectiveIf you are going through recruitment this summer, I highly encourage you to not have your mind made up before you go through recruitment. I know it's hard, because you likely know girls from your high school who joined certain chapters. You have to ask yourself, "What house will I be most comfortable in?". Not, "Which house will I be the most popular in?". If you join a chapter just because all the girls in your high school did, and you heard that that's the sorority to 'aim for', you'll be miserable. I think it's important to know a rough reputation of every chapter so you aren't blindsided when you join and it's not what you think it is, but keep in mind that reputations are not absolute and they can change. Keep an open mind, and if you feel a connection with a chapter that you didn't expect to like, go for it! In the end, it's your college experience, so why waste it in a sorority that you're forcing yourself to like?
