what to wear?

I'm planning on rushing in the fall. What types of outfits do PNMs wear at URI? I know some schools are really dressy, and others it doesn't matter as much. How much do you get judged on your clothes?

For the first round, you are given a t-shirt, so you should just wear jeans/shorts and comfortable shoes because you're going to be walking around to all the different houses! The second and third rounds are still casual so you should wear jeans and a cute top and any shoes. Pref (the last round) is the formal round so you should wear a sundress and heels! Maybe add some accessories in there too (on any day!). As for how much you get judged on your clothes - it depends on the sorority. Most just want to talk to you and see if you would be a good fit for the house.

Or wedges!!! You're still walking a lot and if you want heels go with wedges!! I regret not wearing them it would have saved me the pain

URI girls aren't necessarily as hung up on labels as other campuses. Lot of greek life is straight middle class. They like their Lily and Tory Burch, but as look as you look cute and appropriate, you don't get judged by clothing labels.

Def dress for the weather and walking. Be comfortable but show some effort. Probably don't show up looking like you're going to the gym (which has happened). You want them to see you as the best version of yourself.
