This post is to be used as a guide for incoming freshmen and transfers who are interested in rushing. These are the real "tiers" the sororities hold at URI if you believe in such a thing. These rankings are ultimately based on sisterhood, philanthropy, presence on campus, involvement, GPA, popularity, social life and appearance. Essentially, the whole 9 yards.
1. Alpha Delta Pi- adpi
2. Delta Zeta- dz
3. Sigma Delta Tau- sdt
4. Alpha Phi- aphi
5. Zeta Tau Alpha- zta
6. Chi Omega- chi o
7. Kappa Delta- kd
8. Sigma Kappa- sk
9. Phi Sigma Sigma- phi sig
10. Alpha Xi Dela- azd
These are the real rankings coming from someone who is well established in the Greek community. My one piece of advice to all girls rushing is to KEEP AN OPEN MIND! Do not get your heart set on a house and do bot listen to the stereotypes of others. Decide for yourself. You will end up where you belong!

While I like a ranking that attempts to include all facets of greek life, this is wildly inaccurate. The top four listed are all considered top tier/high middle for looks and social rankings, but as far as the other stuff, houses like ZTA and ChiO run circles around them.
Tbh "popularity, social life, and attractiveness" in this situation are all basically the same thing.

if youre including philanthropy zta and chi o are higher. zta holds several events every year and volunteers outside of the uri community for breast cancer raising thousands every year. chi o also helped make a wish send a child to disney. and axid does a lot for autism speaks
KD raised $25000 a well as alpha phi raising $14000. you can say alumni and parents all you want but that does not take away the value of what the raised.
SDT is very good looking with a great and exclusive social life but their philanthropic efforts are very small (that are seen as far as im concerned)
dz does a lot for other events such as relay for life
sk has done a lot in the past but the girls now have gotten lazy
if we're doing an all around my opinion
top: zta, dz,
upper middle: chi o, adpi, a phi, kd, axid,
lower middle: sdt, sk
lower: phi sig

Yeah, money is money, I get that...but there is a difference between houses that volunteer outside of their own fundraisers (ZTA for breast cancer, ChiO for Make a Wish events, even ADPi for Ronald McDonald House) versus each sister having to raise $100 (by having family cut a check). There is raising money, and there is service to the community. Big difference.

If we are talking about overall then, Zeta and ChiO are easily the top 2. With Adpi and Aphi behind them. If looks are being considered then Aphi and Adpi are top 2.
