derby days

Is there a reason Alpha Phi, Alpha Delta Pi, and Sigma Delta Tau aren't participating in Derby Days? As a greek woman in another house, it comes off as kind of snobby.

Is it required for them to participate? If not then they are under no obligation to get involved. When a professor says this will not be on an exam but is good to know, I highly doubt you write it down in your notes.

They are not being snobby for electing not to participate in an optional event. Have you ever missed a day of school in your life? Is that being snobby by missing class?

OP has a point. It's the same with the frats. None of this stuff is required but top houses remain "top" even though they do less than the middle and bottom houses.

Instead of focusing on the "top" houses lack of participation, focus on the fact that your chapter is doing a great thing by supporting another chapters philanthropy event! What goes around comes around in the long run!
