Do legacies get special treatment?

I am signed up for recruitment and am a legacy for one of the sororities. Do legacies get special treatment? My mom said that I should get a bid because she was in that sorority. Someone else said it isn’t true?? Do I need to do anything?

Some sororities will give you an automatic pass to preference round, others will drop you if you don’t click on the first day. My srat gives you a pass to pref round but no one is guaranteed a bid for being a legacy at any of the srats at URI. Not that I know of anyway

some sororities might keep you till a certain round but no sorority will automatically give you a bid because that just wouldn’t make sense
