I would say that rankings are typically set in place depending on how good a sorority’s pledge class for the Fall is. However, this isn’t always true as some top and bottom Sororities have taken bad/good pledge classes and are still the same rank. I would go through recruitment with an open mind for sure and not limit yourself (:

Fratt ranks depend on how good looking/fun they are to party with. Sorority ranks are based on the same thing. “Top” houses are the “hot ones” who know how to throw down essentially. It’s kinda vain

so i graduated from uri several years back, but i was curious to see how the houses are doing these days and stumbled on here...

IMO, the rankings have changed a bit but partly because of inactive houses. when i graduated, the tiers were roughly as follows:

1. axo, alpha phi, adpi
2. dz, sdt, sk
3. axid, zta
4. chi o, phi sig

so the answer's basically... usually no change, but occasionally a house moves up or down over time.
