URI is most definitely a party school IF you maximize your opportunities so that said yes, sororities social w frats every weekend. depending on the chapter they may do week day socials might not. If you don’t join greek life you will have a much much harder time finding parties. Hands down worth it to go greek if parties are what you’re looking for, if you’re fine with the casual dorm ‘party’, not as essential to go greek

For guys its impossible to get into parties unless you are greek or on a sports team. Girls typically can get into opens but it can be hard to find them until the last minute and they are overcrowded to the point that they actually suck. Greek life makes it easy to have fun. The rankings don't matter that much top orgs party with other top orgs but the middle and bottom groups all social with each other so going greek is great no matter where you find your home!
