transferring to uri

by:

I'm thinking about transferring to URI this coming fall semester as a sophomore, and I want to be apart of Greek life. Is it harder to rush/get into a fraternity being a sophomore transfer student? If so, how bad is it? I'm not currently in a fraternity but from what friend have told me, my current school's Greek life is awful, and I'd love to become apart of URI's.

Nah, you'll be fine, man. Fraternities here aren't too stingy when it comes to what year you are. Just keep an eye out for "Freek Day" in the Fall. It should be at Barlow Circle, around the first week of the semester (maybe a day or two before the semester officially starts). Then just make your rounds, get to know the fraternities, and rush the ones you like. Simple as that.

What he said ^^^. My pledge class actually had a junior in it but he helped us to better the fraternity a lot.
