rushing a chapter
by: ElliottH18Is it difficult to rush a fraternity for incoming freshman (I'm talking about for next fall)? Also are the rushing events/house tours/blast off well advertised when it comes to fraternities?

Don't worry about it at all. It's not difficult. Most guys who rush a fraternity do it in the fall. Go to Blast Off, which is the Sunday (maybe Saturday? I dont remember) before classes start. All of the fraternities will have booths set up. Talk to a decent number of them. Talk to a couple different guys to get a good feel. They will have a flier with rush events (sports at their houses, ice skating at the ice arena, football games, etc.) They will have dates and times on there as well. Also, their twitter accounts usually will post something the day of. It is very well advertised. Some of them post a rush schedule on the big round bulletin board in the student center. It is very well advertised. Just talk to as many different fraternities as you can. They are all different and have something to offer. You just have to find your best fit.
