What's Hot - Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute - RPI

This is a co-ed chapter; the house is between the dorms and the hockey arena. While small, the brotherhood is outstanding. This is a group that really doesn't care what others think and yes, they are nerds. They are engineers, from nukes to mechanical and all be making six figure salaries within five years of graduation, so hurray for them. What I have observed is that they are a closeknit bunch and watch out for each other and I can picture them staying that way after graduation.

This house throws the best parties on campus especially the big ones. The house is awesome, and the brothers are super cool. They just got a big new brother class that looks promising. Very diverse group of guys. Definitely top house. If not top house then top 3. Every weekend there's something going on there usually Tuesday and Thursday too

SAE has a reputation of being kinda douchey. They throw parties often. I've only been to one of their mixers so on one hand I can't comment on their parties, but on the other hand the reason I haven't returned is because of how awful that mixer was. There were a bunch of games, cool idea, but you had to go to your assigned game at the assigned time and they cared way too much about keeping it organized. If I'm at a party I'm trying to relax and have fun, not have weird rules about what I do...

Sig Chi brothers range from being really cool to kinda weird. This is one of the harder houses for me to make a generalization about. It's worth noting that they have a gorgeous new house. Sig Chi throws parties often but the parties are pretty bland. They seem to be popular with Sage girls. I'd say these guys are mostly relationship guys, not hookup guys. It's even possible for them to give their girlfriends letters, which strikes me as a bit odd but I guess it's a national tradition.

Good group of guys. They're nerdy but they don't pretend to be something they're not, which I appreciate. I also wouldn't place them in the socially awkward category. They're geeks who know how to interact with people. They have parties occasionally which are fairly popular. In my opinion this house is a good fit for guys who want to have a moderately active social life.

These guys are very academically oriented as far as I can tell. The brothers I know are nice, respectful, and definitely nerdy. Overall they're not a big fraternity on campus, so don't join if you're looking for a boost to your social life. They don't have parties, or if they do they're most likely small, no underage drinking, friends of the house only parties. They do have "Elmo dinners" which a few of my friends go to, and supposedly the food is pretty good.

They smell bad. I like when they paint their lions different colors though.
