Is it required to go to the tea for the sororities?

No, it is definitely not required! They won't hold it against you if you can't go. However, it is a great idea to go and get the sororities to meet you. It would be a smart decision to go. Try and connect with/talk to girls in each sorority and get them to know you before recruitment especially if you don't go to the tea.
